Tomorrow's the Day! Join Us for Change the Type's 6th Annual Back-to-School Drive

The countdown is over—our 6th Annual Back-to-School Drive is happening tomorrow, and we couldn't be more excited!

For the past six years, Change the Type has been committed to helping local students start the school year with confidence by providing the essential tools they need to succeed. Tomorrow, we're looking forward to welcoming families from across the Triangle for an evening filled with school supplies, community, and fun.


This year's event will take place on:

📅 Friday, August 7, 2026

🕠 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

📍 Biltmore Hills Community Center, 2615 Fitzgerald Drive, Raleigh, NC 27610


Our goal is to provide more than 150 students with the essential school supplies they need to begin the school year prepared and ready to learn.


Families attending can enjoy:

  • Free school supplies (while supplies last)

  • Free haircuts for students

  • Free food

  • Music and entertainment

  • Games and family-friendly activities

  • Raffle giveaways

  • Community resources and local vendors
