Raleigh Fire Department collects school supplies for Change the Type's 6th Annual Back-to-School Drive

It's officially back-to-school season, and Change the Type is inviting the community to help make a difference!

We're now accepting new and gently used school supply donations for our 6th Annual Back-to-School Drive, and we've made it easier than ever to give back. Thanks to our partnership with the Raleigh Fire Department, community members can drop off donations at three convenient Raleigh fire stations now through July 20.

Every backpack, notebook, pencil, folder, and pack of crayons helps ensure local students begin the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

School Supplies Drop-Off Locations

You can donate new or gently used school supplies at any of the following locations:

🚒 Raleigh Fire Station 10 -- 2711 Sanderford Road, Raleigh, NC 27610

🚒 Raleigh Fire Station 26 -- 3929 Barwell Road, Raleigh, NC 27610

We welcome new and gently used school supplies, including:

• Notebooks

• Folders

• Loose-leaf paper

• Pencils

• Pens

• Colored pencils

• Crayons

• Markers

• Glue sticks

• Scissors

• Pencil pouches

• Highlighters

• Calculators

• Rulers

• Other classroom essentials

Every donation, big or small, helps support students and families throughout the Triangle.

This year, Change the Type hopes to provide more than 150 students with the school supplies and resources they need to start the school year on the right foot. Our annual Back-to-School Drive is about more than backpacks—it's about removing barriers to education and ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.
